In today’s modern construction scenario large glass surfaces are more and more used. Glass as a building material is quite a delicate subject because damage to the surface (not structural) such as scratches, incisions, grout spots, grinder and welder splatters are practically unavoidable during such a long construction process. In addition to damage occurred at the building site, there are other potential sources of damage such as careless logistics, cleaning, ageing and vandalism etc.

Few years back glass replacement was the only solution for these damages but today with advent of modern techniques it is possible to save the replacement cost with an affordable repair and restoration procedure.

GPIL is experts in glass repair & care, globally our solutions are used by some of the biggest retail giants like McDonalds, Dominos, Burger King, D&G and many more.

Metal & Stainless Steel Polishing

Metal & Stainless Steel Polishing

Metal polishing is often used to enhance the appearance of an item, prevent contamination of instruments, remove oxidation, create a reflective surface, or prevent corrosion in metal objects.

Polishing is an intermediate step used to improve the surface finish from the grinding step, such as found on a common household stainless steel sink – lustrous, but not mirror-like.

Stainless steel polishing is an abrading operation used to remove or smooth grinding lines, scratches, pits, mold marks, parting lines, tool marks, stretcher strains, and surface defects that adversely affect the appearance or function of the part.

Grinder & Welder Splatter Removal

Grinder & Welder Splatter Removal

Grinder & Welder Splatter is a very common occurrence on commercial sites these days. The process of removing grinder and weld splatter to achieve clear glass, consists of two stages; the first stage involves the removal of all the metal particles imbedded in the glass and then chemically cleaning the damaged area to remove any remaining metal oxides, burn marks or stains.  This leaves the glass with small white frosted dots where the hot metal has burnt into the surface.  The second stage is to remove these frosted dots by abrading the surface of glass to the bottom of the dots and then polishing clear with a compound, to leave the result of clear glass.

We recommend that if you have grinder and weld splatter then you should get the repair done as soon as possible. This will stop the metal oxidation and further damage of the glass over time due to weather moisture and regular wet cleaning.

Limescale

Limescale Deposits and Stains Removal

Surface contamination on glass, either through environmental conditions or its proximity to other materials, can cause the glass to lose its transparency.  GPIL is able to remove these tough deposits on the glass, which are not able to be removed with general cleaning products.

When rainwater flows over onto a glass surface, depositing insoluble salts of calcium it creates stains which become chemically bound to the glass. These stains can be seen as white or grey patches or streaks across the glass.

We offer a special surface contamination removal service, that can remove those stubborn, organic and inorganic deposits on your glass to leave a clear finish.
